sukideen: ad210309: I watched a programme on this on more 4. Its about how dolphins are killed for their meat to sell in Japan’s markets, opposed to the normal fish they would sell, because the Japanese government is convinced local fishermen are taking to much fish out of the sea and its messing with the eco side of things. So the Japanese government tell the local fishermen to hunt for dolphins instead. Its at it worst, starting in September in a cove in Taiji, Japan, where fishermen gather thousands of dolphins in the cove, and surround them with nets, so the dolphins cannot escape. Then the fishermen go out into their boats and individually pierce the dolphins and roughly drag them into the boat, while their offspring’s watch this happen (baring in mind dolphins are supposed to be intellectually equal with humans, therefore they know whats going on). And as you can see the cove looks like a literal blood bath, it was awful. I’m no animal cruelty activist/extremist/protester but I think this is horrible and evidentially needs to stop. But the Japanese government is all for this, and have different morals and laws. Manipulating other countries to join them in this, some countries dropped out as they realised the true horror of it, but more joined. I feel so nerdy, but its horrible and shouldn’t be happening in this ‘modern day of age.’   :{ I watched this, just cried tbh
